Here is one I cannot figure out. After making a copy of our data base to another computer I can no longer open the original. Message:
"The owner of this copy of Helix Rade has been preempted from the network. QUIT."
No escape. File sharing OFF or ON.
Stuck. Is there a tow out there? Bill

You need to purchace a license that allows you to run Helix on more than one machine. There are three (or four) options (with Helix 5.2 prices in USD):
  • Add a license for a 2nd computer to your current RADE serial number - $100.
  • Purchase a new Helix RADE license with a new serial number - $200
  • Purchase a Helix Engine license - $100
  • Purchase a Helix Client/Server license - $650

  • Adding extra seats to a RADE license is the administrator's answer, buying a new RADE or Engine license is the "standard" answer, and buying a Client/Server license is the power user's answer.

Thanks Matt. Didn't even cross my mind.
You know, Helix has run flawlessly since the first version was introduced. On rare occasion I go in and change something. The interface takes only a few minutes to fall back into place. A great tool. Bill
