I accidentally hit return - it was supposed to say "Upgrade Question"! I use Helix for single-user projects rather than multi-user situations, and I'm trying to figure out what would be the best upgrade options. Is there a good upgrade option for Helix 6 for single-user situations that could create an OS X compatible collection? I assume that modifying it would have to be done under Classic, but if everyday use could be done under OS X that would be rather handy! Thanks, Peter - Edited by Peter Y on: Aug 05, 2005 6:57:20 pm

The only OS X native apps in beta right now are Helix Server, Helix Utility, and Update Collection. RADE, Client, and Engine must all still be run in Classic. It's just that the new Classic versions will be able to open and use the same collections as the OS X native server. Thus, as far as anyone actually accessing or using a collection, that must still be done through a Classic app. --- Steve Schacht |

(I've been away for a week; thus the delay.) Thanks. As someone who only uses Helix RADE in a single-user setting I get confused by some of the terminology for more complex uses, and wasn't sure what was/wasn't possible. Peter
