We recently discovered that the Apple Events to Add, Retrieve, and Delete records do not honor the user's view permissions. So for a view that you may not add records to in custom mode, you can add records via Apple Event. The importance of this becomes clear when the issues of posting and data security are considered.
We propose modifying the AEs to respect the following permission settings:
  • Store: Import
  • Retrieve: export
  • Delete: delete

  • Comments?
