Just a quick note to say thank you.

First, I upgraded our ten-user system to 6.0 last week and everything ran without incident.

All of the users are very impressed with the overall performance increase in daily use.

Second, our database is an old design, circa 1987, and we still use end of day, end of month and end of year type postings to keep historical data up to date.

Normally our end of year process would take about 20 to 30 minutes to complete and it could only be run in RADE on the server. Whenever we ran it from a Client, the Client machine would hang on long postings.

Yesterday I ran our End-Of-Year update from a client and the performance was nothing short of astounding. The entire process took less than 3 minutes, the client never hung up, postings of less than 200 records didn't even bother to show the progress thermometer drawing, it just flashed on the screen and then disappeared. Large posts with thousands of records took only seconds to complete.

Seamless upgrade process, impressive performance, stable operation, what more could I ask for? How about "When will I see RADE in OS X?"
